Ebix is firmly committed to respecting the privacy of individuals. Any information that we gather is protected from misappropriation and misuse.
Ebix collects certain types of user data, including anonymous aggregate data and anonymous individual data. Aggregate data describes all user data as a whole, rather than the data of specific individuals. Collected data may include topics that people view, browsers they used, time and length content is used, health risk assessment data, and similar types of data. This data may be used by Ebix or its customers to understand what health information is used most frequently and how users are accessing the information. In addition, log files that track and compile data for websites are accessed by traffic monitoring software and periodically analyzed to monitor trends of those individuals who visit our website. General information, including pages accessed, the amount of time accessing pages, browser, and operating system, used are analyzed.

Passive Tracking Mechanisms
Ebix utilizes passive tracking mechanisms in the form of session "cookies". A cookie is a small data file that is stored on the hard drive of the computer you use to view a web site. Cookies created by Ebix are placed on the user's computer and are accessible only by Ebix Cookies can contain pieces of information that make the site easier to use.
Ebix uses a session cookie to maintain a single login session. Once you log in to the portal, you can view your benefits and other information in the browser. Once you logout, and/or close the browser, the session cookie is deleted.
Use
Ebix uses your personal information only to perform tasks which have been specifically requested by your company. For example, if your company uses Ebix's Enrollment system, your personal information is used to help you enroll and gain access to those enrollment services. If your company uses Ebix's Total Access FSA, your personal information enables us to deliver that service to you. We may also use your personal information to deliver any newsletters which you and or/your company have signed up for.
Disclosure
Information stored in any Ebix database is available to Ebix's administrative and management personnel on an as-need basis only.
Your personal information is not disclosed unless you provide an authorization for disclosure or as required or allowed by law.
Our third party provider upholds the same rigorous security guidelines followed by Ebix and our employees. Information stored in the secure online store database is available to select accounting and shipping personnel as well as select members of Ebix's management team. For shipping, Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is also sent to our secure third party vendors that process the credit card transactions as well as ship your product. These third party vendors uphold the same rigorous security guidelines followed by Ebix and our employees.
PII is information that may be used to identify an individual, including, without limitation, your first and last name, your home or other physical address, your electronic mail address, which Internet address you go to, what browser you are using, and other similar information (collectively, "Personal Information").
If you have requested information from us using one of our online forms, you have sent us PII. If you wish to have your PII removed from our database, you may contact us and request it to be removed.
Ebix may be required by law to disclose your PII and as a matter of policy cooperates with law enforcement inquiries. We may use information available to us to attempt to identify a user when we are legally compelled to do so or when we feel it is necessary to protect our services, sites, customers, or others.
Security
Ebix uses security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide VeriSign 128-bit SSL certificate, firewalls and on computer systems with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities. When we transmit highly confidential information (such as a credit card number or password) over the Internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
Ebix maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in compliance with industry standards and applicable laws. We require our service providers to follow these same safeguards to ensure that your information is kept private and secure.
Notification of Changes
We will notify you directly if there is a material change in our privacy practices. We will take commercially reasonable measures to obtain written or active e-mail consent from the user if Ebix is going to be using the information collected from the user in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection.

Although information security practices have been established for our computer network, no online data is ever 100 percent secure. Ebix takes reasonable and customary steps to protect your personal information, but we cannot ensure or warrant our ability to do so. You use the Ebix website at your own risk.
